New Dada Mail release!

November 28th, 2007

Below is recent email from Justin Simoni who has created one of the best free newsletter programs you can host on your own website.

Hello everyone,

I’m extremely happy to announce the immediate availability of Dada Mail, 2.11 Alpha 8. What’s special about this version is that it’s the first version of Dada Mail to have support for multiple subscriber fields. I know some of you have waited years for this to happen and well, it’s happened. No longer are you only able to save a subscriber’s email address. Now, you can save any type of information you want.

Yeah!

Here’s an overview of what to expect:

And here’s the rest of the documentation for this specific version:

Have fun! And please, give some feedback! This is still in development release of Dada Mail, so things aren’t done and bugs are still something you should be wary about. The very best place to do so is on our boards:

How to add audio easily to your website

June 9th, 2007

I recently discovered Gabcast (http://www.gabcast.com) which is a very easy to use tool to add audio to your site. It’s free to sign up for a starter account which will allow you to create simple audio files which you can embed on your site. Perfect way to add a bio or other audio on your site. You can set it up to “autoplay” when page is opened if you want to. The best part is all you have to do is call an 800 number they tell you and use a code to record the sound. Then take a link they provide and put it in the HTML code of your page. That’s it! You can also use Gabcast for podcasts.

Know about other tools similar to this? Please post in the comments below so others can check them out too.
